Villa Pascucci Mare is a boutique hotel overlooking the seafront of Durrës. Defined by a rigorous and minimalist architectural language, the building stands in clear contrast to the visual complexity of its surrounding urban context.
The project draws inspiration from nature, with the sky and sea becoming the recurring theme throughout the design. A refined selection of colours, materials and transparencies evokes the ever-changing shades of the marine horizon.
The hotel features 18 guest rooms, characterised by expansive glazed openings that establish a strong visual connection with the sea. On the fifth floor, the “PARADISO” Sky Bar & Restaurant opens onto a panoramic swimming pool, offering uninterrupted views across the Adriatic.
The fourth floor is dedicated to wellness and includes the sea-facing “BIANCA” Spa and the “ILIRIA” gym. One of the project’s most distinctive architectural features is a series of four square openings in the ceiling, corresponding to the bottom of the swimming pool above. These “water eyes” create a striking visual connection between the two levels, generating a dynamic interplay of light and reflections shaped by the continuous movement of the water.
At ground level, the hotel opens itself to the city through the “DOLCE PASCUCCI” artisanal patisserie, the “BLU PONTI” fine-dining restaurant, and the informal “VISTA MARE” bistrot terrace.
This approach reflects the ambition to make Villa Pascucci Mare more than a hospitality destination: an urban landmark where hospitality, wellness and fine dining come together within an exclusive yet welcoming architectural setting.
